There are so many advantages when you work as an Angel:

Flexible hours

Angels can choose to work any three hours or more, on days and at times which suit them. Registered Nurses may be requested for two hours or more or to work in shifts of 8, 12 or 24 hours. You may choose whether you wish to work or to be free of bookings during school holidays.

Top rates

On your behalf, DIAL-AN-ANGEL® is able to negotiate rates that appropriately reflect your skills and experience. The Agency is vigilant about current trends in remuneration and ensures that Angels are not exploited in the workplace.

Replacement Angels

Should you decide to go on vacation or temporarily be unable to provide your services to a client, DIAL AN ANGEL can keep the booking open for you by providing a replacement Angel until you can resume working for your client. You will not feel you are letting your clients down or feel pressured by losing your work referrals.

Workplace Safety and Insurance Cover

When you accept referrals from DIAL-AN-ANGEL, you can be sure that clients have been advised about their responsibilities regarding workplace safety and about having adequate insurance cover for your protection.

Our insurance broker is able to provide individual Public Liability Insurance coverage at reasonable rates for ‘in-home carers’ (from child carers to nurses). This is not compulsory but gives Angels peace of mind. Contact us for more information.

Privacy & Security

Your private telephone number and address are never divulged by the Agency when you accept referrals to bookings through DIAL-AN-ANGEL. This security measure also safeguards your privacy

Awards

Recognition is no small thing and we like to make sure our Angels get the rewards and recognition they deserve. DIAL-AN-ANGEL rewards those Angels who have provided 12 months of unblemished service with a gold badge sporting wings and halo. “Angel of the Month” Awards are distributed for exceptional effort beyond the call of duty. Annual Awards are presented to those Angels meriting additional acknowledgement.

Introduce a Friend

Many of our Angels discovered us through personal recommendation. We believe one good turn deserves another, so we came up with our “Introduce a Friend” incentive. If you recommend someone we later register successfully as an Angel, you’ll receive a gift of two movie tickets to say thank you.

Training

Qualifications aren’t essential but we are able to assist you finding training. We have current contacts to undertake Certificate IV in Community Services Work. Just ask one of our helpful co-ordinators.

What to bring to the interview

All Angel applicants are required to provide the following information at the time of interview:

• Current Identification (Passport is required for Working Holidaymakers);
• Recent references which can be validated through current contact details;
• Contact details for your next-of-kin;
• Details of previous experience, background suitability and the originals or certified copies of formal qualifications and/or Certificates for the specific requirements of the department through which you are registering for work referrals;
• Child care and babysitting Angels must be cleared to work with children.
• Current first aid certificate for all child care, eldercare and disability care Angels.
• Current police clearances are required for all eldercare and disability care Angels.
